Lighthouses
East Point Lighthouse
The light at the eastern tip, where the Gulf and the Strait meet.

What to expect
East Point is the end of the island. The lighthouse stands where the Gulf of St. Lawrence and the Northumberland Strait meet, and on a clear day you can see the line of the two waters. The photograph on this page was made in winter, when ice reaches the tip. In summer the scene is green and busy with visitors. Tower access is seasonal. The headland is the stop even when the door is shut. Winter visits depend on weather and the road.
Highlights
- The easternmost point of the island
- A meeting line of two bodies of water
