Trails
Confederation Trail, eastern section
The rail-trail's eastern stretch, ending at the Elmira trailhead.

What to expect
The Confederation Trail follows the bed of the old railway across the island. The eastern trailhead is at Elmira, near the railway museum, and the path runs west through the St. Peters and Morell country. Surfaces are generally level. It is the right plan if you would rather ride or walk than stack beaches. Bring water. Services along the eastern kilometres are sparse.
