What to expect
Panmure Island Beach is the swim people make a plan for when they stay in Georgetown or Montague. Pale sand, a long shoreline, and the causeway approach that puts water on both sides of the road are the draw. The lighthouse and campground are on the same island, so a beach afternoon can include a tower visit without a second drive. A park fee may apply in season.
