Points East Coastal Drive

The two-lane loop that ties the east-end harbours, beaches, and lights together.

What to expect

The Points East Coastal Drive is the usual way to string this region into one route. It runs past the southeast lighthouses, the Three Rivers towns, the north-shore beaches, and out to East Point. You do not need to drive the entire loop. A half day might be Wood Islands to Cape Bear, or Souris to East Point and Basin Head. Roads are two lanes. Allow more time than the kilometre count suggests, because the stops are the trip. The photograph here is the farm shore at Basin Head, one stretch of that coast.
